Dalt Vila
Ibiza’s upper town, ringed by Renaissance walls and a World Heritage Site: cobbled streets that climb between white houses to the cathedral and the castle, with views over the port and Formentera.

Tip: Go up at sunset, when the heat eases, and stay for dinner in its squares or in La Marina, the quarter below.

When to go to Ibiza
The season runs from May to October; July and August are the busiest and wildest months. May, June and September are ideal: good weather, a warm sea and a little more calm.
In winter many hotels and restaurants close, but the green, quiet island is perfect for walking; in late January and February the almond trees blossom.
